Even before a company implements a SCM system, it should ensure that it is accepted and used – not only by its own employees, but also by suppliers, service providers and other partners. In any case, it helps to explain the benefits to all parties involved and to prepare good training courses. But there are a few other measures you can take. The most important ones are:

1. Put the supplier manual online and keep it up to date in real time
2. Acceptance as a contractual condition of the suppliers/forwarding agents
3. Involving stakeholders in the process – from the start
4. Illustration of a realistic process
5. Conducting training courses and explaining advantages (time savings, planning security and transparency)
