Setlog was founded more than 20 years ago by Guido Brackelsberg, Ralf Duester and Jakob Gielen. Our founders recognized then how important the digitalization of supply chain management is and have driven it forward over the last 20 years with a deep expertise in logistics, trade and finance. Since 2001, Setlog is a secure partner in supply chain management and is now considered a reliable and innovative resource by many well-known companies.
Founded by Guido Brackelsberg, Ralf Duester and Jakob Gielen in Cologne. However, Setlog left the cathedral city very quickly and moved to the Ruhr area.
In order to respond even better to customer needs, Setlog’s IT department developed the new software cOSCA and went into “recurring revenue” with it. While the old software with PHP still ran web-based, cOSCA was now available as a server-client solution which has proven to be significantly more efficient .
After numerous business trips to the USA more and more exciting opportunities for Setlog emerged which were seized with the founding of the subsidiary in 2011. Setlog Corp, founded in New York City, has since served as a focal point for successful business relationships in the American market.
In 2013, the OSCA software also adopted a new approach. After cOSCA, the Java-based software jOSCA was launched – with a new look, better performance and more options to respond to customer requests.
In early summer of 2017, the shareholders of Setlog GmbH contributed their shares to the newly founded Setlog Holding AG thus establishing a new organization behind Setlog. As a 100% subsidiary, Setlog GmbH will now be supported by a well-known supervisory board.
OSCA habs been restructured. With the new segmentation of the software into OSCA CSR, OSCA SRM, OSCA Procurement, OSCA Logistics and OSCA QC, OSCA becomes even more flexible, easier to implement and offers new possibilities to be tailored exactly to the needs of the customers.

In addition to Setlog GmbH, founded in 2001, we ventured into the USA in 2011 with our 100% subsidiary Setlog Corp. to conquer the supply chain market there. In 2017, our founders also decided to launch Setlog Holding AG, which will henceforth survive as the parent company of the Setlog Group. Supply chain management is our passion. For us, it is important that the control of complex processes is presented in a simple way. Our goal is to achieve a reduction in delivery times and transport costs through mapped transparency and optimized planning for the customer, e.g. through consolidation.
Setlog stands for the digitalization of the supply chain, especially for international procurement, it is essential to have all data consolidated and available in real time. From our point of view, transparency in all processes and in communication must be ensured at all times.
With true visibility and a software solution that optimizes processes and maps all necessary information, Setlog has made it its mission to sustainably improve production and working conditions. The introduction of the Supply Chain Act in particular has shown us that the sustainable path is paramount.
