As you already know the year 2019 is the year of trade fairs for Setlog; in April, we had the pleasure to present ourselves at the Hannover Messe at the joint stand of the IDS.
In May, we were simultaneously in Frankfurt at Texprocess with our own stand and at the Stellenwerk RUB in Bochum. Obviously when you are planning an event, you want to see and experience the product of your planning, so my heart bled that I was not able to be in Frankfurt.
But as an exhibitor at the Stellenwerk, you are rewarded 100 times over by the open-minded and enthusiastic audience. After the successful participation in 2018, we have now been there for the 2nd time. Over two days, a total of 100 exhibitors presented themselves with exhibition stands, presentations on interesting topics and current vacancies in the Audimax – directly on the campus of the RUB. Over 9,000 students and graduates took the opportunity to talk to appealing employers and took part in the extensive supporting program with career lectures, application checks, job walls, start-up corners and much more.
The Stellenwerk RUB was, how shall I say it not to sound too euphoric, a celebration. We had many very exciting conversations with interested talents, could gather lots of impressions about the next generation of colleagues and hope to see some of you in our office again. The young students we got to know better once again reflected how we are as a team. The students were not afraid to get in touch with us! That could be because Jörg – the student catcher of Setlog – could really enthuse everyone for a conversation. Or Michael R., who enchanted the audience with his light Black Forest dialect, or Maurice, who impressed with his size and charm. Of course, Michael G., the “nerdiest” of them all, inspired the talents with skillful questions and a lot of technical information. What can I say, the whole team – Matthias, Joerg, Marcel, Clint, Maurice, Michael G., Michael R., Timon, Nora and I – was simply extremely harmonic and you could see that we all had fun presenting our company to the students. We can look back on great conversations and lots of highlights.
Just a side note to those who said, “Well then I’ll send you an application” for an internship or a student job: Please do what you said – send us your application – because we are looking forward to it!
And now a big praise to the Organization Team of the Stellenwerk RUB: the event was great again, the organizers were always excellent. The catering was great and the atmosphere was awesome. You make it really easy for us as exhibitors to feel at home. Thank you very much for that and of course we will be there again next year in April.
