(Bochum, 1/20/2021). In the fashion industry, the name MUSTANG stands for a wide range of jeans and lifestyle fashion for women and men. In order to meet today’s requirements for modern and transparent supply chain management, MUSTANG will be introducing the cloud-based software tool OSCA from Setlog GmbH in the second quarter 2021.

“We are continuously investing in retail shops and are also expanding our digital business. With OSCA, we get more transparency in our supply chain and can track purchase orders digitally. This is an important building block for our growth strategy,” says Andreas Baur, CEO of MUSTANG.

The implementation of the software is simple and promises a fast and efficient way of handling the flow of information and goods. MUSTANG sends the production orders from its ERP system to the production sites or intermediaries via OSCA. The SCM software serves as a communication tool from order confirmation and delivery planning to transport bookings. The Mustang team monitors costs, volumes, lead times, transport times, carton packing lists, delivery dates and other important business data within OSCA. Logistics service providers feed transport notifications and tracking data into the OSCA system via EDI. The OSCA dashboards show transparently their respective status. In case of delivery data changes or delays, all partners in the value chain are informed.

MUSTANG’s sources products mainly from North Africa, Turkey and Asia. The goods are consolidated in a central warehouse and then distributed to the company’s own retail and wholesale partners throughout Europe.

“Centralizing communication within the supply chain via a single software makes the process easier for everyone. OSCA supports us in having transparency at all times. It enables us to react to changes in the supply chain immediately. This is an absolute necessity, as the current situation caused by the Corona pandemic shows us once again,” says Signe Oepen, COO at MUSTANG. For instant changes of the mode of transport – for example from ship to air – can be executed quickly and are visible for all supply chain participants. Another reason for MUSTANG to opt for OSCA is the fact, that it offers the possibility to control upstream and downstream processes of the inbound supply chain with additional software modules such as incoming goods inspection and vendor compliance management (VCM).
