In May 2001 the current board members Ralf Düster, Guido Brackelsberg and Jakob Gielen founded Setlog GmbH based in Cologne. A short time later, the headquarters were moved to the beautiful Ruhr area. In Wiesenstraße in Witten, directly above the trendy bar Klimbim, Setlog found its home for the next decade. A few months later, the first external financing was provided by KFW and Sparkasse Dortmund.
In the summer/autumn of 2005 Setlog acquired the renowned fashion company Tom Tailor as a customer. In order to respond even better to the needs and wishes of customers, Setlog’s IT department developed the new software cOSCA and thus went into a “recurring revenue”model. While the old software was still web-based with PHP, a client solution was now offered with cOSCA.
In 2011, Setlog went into new territory and founded Setlog Corp in New York City. After numerous business trips to the USA and exciting discussions with experts from the market, an interesting and groundbreaking opportunity for Setlog quickly emerged, which took hold with the founding of the subsidiary.
Shortly after the expansion of Setlog’s on the American market, the software OSCA also received a new approach.
After cOSCA, the Java-based software jOSCA was launched – with a new look, better performance and more possibilities to respond to customer inquiries.
In 2013, Zalando, Europe’s largest online fashion retailer, chose jOSCA and paved the way for the software solution that is still running today.
In early summer 2017 the shareholders of Setlog GmbH transferred all their shares to the newly founded Setlog Holding AG and thus founded a new organisation behind Setlog. As a wholly owned subsidiary, the existing business of Setlog GmbH will be continued and a well-known supervisory board (including chairman Ralf Püttmann and deputy chairman Prof. Dr. Dr. Michael ten Hompel) supported the activities of the Setlog Group.
At the beginning of 2018, the subsidiary limbiq GmbH was added.
